Shinsekai Yori: Wandering Kaononai Shonen

放浪 顔のない少年 [Wandering Faceless Boy]

Oh my this took me 7 days to finish but I'm so happy with how it turned out! (;u; )
I guess you can understand it if you've watched Shinsekai Yori, but for those who haven't, it's a short comic about Satoru *the blonde boy* dreaming about his dead boyfriend Shun *blue-haired* while remembering stuff of the past
Actually I had a dream which gave me the inspiration for this, and many elements throughout the anime inspired me too. It's not something that was written in the novel *although I would really love to draw scenes from every chapter omg*, but it's based on it in a few points:

It's mentioned that Group 1 was experimented on. They weren't put under hypnosis and had their own free will instead, meaning they would do things that other people who be scared to do. So since Satoru and Shun are childhood friends, I think that Satoru's "There's a rumor that"-attitude would often lead them to sneak out of the Holy Barrier And Shun himself is also often shown suggesting entering off-limit areas too to explore stuff, like during their summer camp~ *the part where Satoru tells them about the Devil Minoshiro and the Balloondogs and Shun says "Let's go find out about them!"*

About the title:
"Wandering" because Shun was reading the fable about the boy, who turned into a Karma Demon and walked into the lake, and because he later turned into a Karma Demon himself *also because I was listening to FFXOst - Wandering and because I read the new chapter of "Wandering Son" a couple days ago which is a totally irrelevant manga lol*
"Kaononai Shonen" or "Boy without a face" is what Satoru and Saki call Shun, since their memories of him were erased through hypnosis and now they're trying to retrieve them

Aaah~ Can you notice Shun's reflection in the end being scratched out? Got the idea for it after reading maragnidyne's analysis on the Shinsekai Yori official art about the reflections and everything~~ Thanks!

I don't think I'll draw a comic again any time soon XD Although I must say it's easier than drawing a doujinshi or making an animation lol
But I need to say that this was sooooo much fun omg and I had to try not to cry while drawing it ;3; I guess the fact that I was busy picking the right colors and trying to come up with elements from the story to use as frames instead of black-line-paneling everything helped
