Drawn inspired by Alice Nine's song "Birth in the Death", but actually, I was listening to "Gemini 0 I II" while drawing this Such beautiful songs of dear. Alice Nine is a great inspiration for me! <3

I don't wish to say much about this picture, because it's rather personal ;u;
But in short, Shinkami represents a certain person in my life. All of my OCs are created to remind me of persons important to me, something you can find out by looking at their birthdays. *You can connect the dots if you know what RL person related to me has which birthday but yeah, I doubt you know that LOL UNLESS YOU'RE A STALKER OMG *

Well, all except Lerato. He doesn't relate to a person I know. He represents something compeltely different. His birthday is the 25th of December so you might have figured it out already~

!story spoiler/ lyric explanation!

<sub>Shinkami and Lyn symbolize Death and Rebirth. Shinkami's darkness, in other words the fact that he can't let light shine on him, gave birth to his wish of "another person/self able to face light". That other person, born from his darkness, is Lyn, who is perfectly able to walk in the light, while Shinkami walks in the shadows. "Cutting off the shadow from the light" symbolizes that creation.

"When the sun sets" points at Shinkami's relief, because he's more safe when there's no sun. "Birds head towards the direction of tomorrow" hints at Lyn, who's Anima is a bird. By the time that Lyn will have lost her Anima, the world will finally be back in order.

The many eyes symbolize Lyn's 100 souls, and the skeleton is what Shinkami looks like when too much light shines on him, making his skin and organs decompose. But those things shall also symbolize: Shinkami's darkness+100 souls= creation of Lyn's skeleton/body.</sub>


"Lumen Renatum" means "Reborn Light". *but I might have used the wrong ending for renatum omgg XD I FORGOT MY LATIN LONG AGO OOOPS*

This was a really quick speedpaint to relieve some stress. Then I decided to make a gif out of it but still a quick one omg... I must go back to work so yeah, I can't spend much time refining this Quite some anatomy and symmetry mistakes there, plus lack of details but alkdjfaljf sorry Shin ´A`
